supplements? How long should I use them? When should I see results?
Supplements work best when your pet actually takes them! Sometimes easier
said than done, but that is when we need to be "pet parents". Not everything
that is good and necessary for your pet tastes terrific. However, there are
ways to hide it: Azmira canned food formulas, chicken broth, tuna juice,
apple juice, etc. are among the many ways we have found over the years to
help you help your pet take the needed herbs and supplements.

Because of the range of products and different packaging, this
information is in various places on each container. Canned foods are stamped
with a code which you can call us and we can decipher for you; dry foods are
stamped with the manufacture date and guaranteed for 12 months from that
date; supplements, topical products, herbs and homeopathic remedies have a
sticker on the bottom with this information.

...supplement my pet? Isn't food enough?
Even with the best quality, balanced diet, nutritional supplementation is
necessary to provide many nutrients now missing from our food chain. Years
of over-farming, the use (and abuse) of chemicals, fertilizers and various
environmental pollution such as acid rain, have taken their toll. Even
organic farming cannot guarantee that the produce will be more nutritious,
as it will take approximately 75 years for lost nutrients to return to the
soil. Many pets have physical ailments and weaknesses requiring additional
nutritional support for symptom reversal. Also, years of over-breeding has
left many fine breeds genetically predisposed to certain conditions. With
proper supplementation, these pets can lead healthy happy lives.
...use Azmira? It seems expensive?
Both quality ingredients and mass national marketing cost money. Azmira
chooses to put money into top quality ingredients. Some companies put money
into cute commercials or marketing gimmicks instead. They often offer many
different foods targeted to special diet needs, breeds, sizes, ages or

Do you have raw diets?
Dr. Newman does not endorse raw diets because over time the typical
initial improvement does not last.
Cautions Against Raw
Food Diets tells you more about this. Dogs and cats have been
domesticated for over 14,000 years and have been eating our cooked food for
most of that. Because of their rapid rates of reproduction and evolution
(especially compared to that of man) our pets lack many of the natural
digestive abilities of their still wild cousins. They have lost the ability
to optimally digest raw meat tissue, bone, hide, feathers, etc. on a regular
basis.
My pet gets kidney/bladder stones or crystals? Do I
need a special diet?
Stones can be caused by a genetic weakness, chemical exposure or poor
quality diet and lifestyle. No, we do not believe you need a 'special' diet.
Our experience shows you need a complete, high quality, easy to digest diet
with proper supplementation to address the cause directly. We do not endorse
prescription diets due to the poor quality ingredients they typically

...Azmira? What does it mean? What does it do?
The word "Azmira" derives from Dr. Newman's early years when people
referred to her expertise and products as the "Arizona Miracle"
... the "cleansing response"? What should I expect?
This varies by individual according to yours pet's age, diagnosis,
lifestyle, severity of symptoms, etc. The cleansing response can range from
increased shedding, panting, sleeping and water drinking all the way to
loose stools and self-fasting. Not every pet will have outward signs of the
cleansing response.
...the shelf life on Azmira foods? There is no
expiration date marked on the dry food bag.
Azmira believes in supplying the freshest product and giving consumers
the most information possible. We stamp the manufacturing date on our dry
food bags so you know exactly how old it is. Our industry leading barrier
packaging allows us to guarantee our dry foods are fresh as the day they are
made for one year after the day they were made. Once the bag is opened, we
recommend you use the bag within 45 days.
...use more than one extract at once (mix them)?
Can I mix them with vitamins?
